67th Scripps National Spelling Bee

The 67th Scripps National Spelling Bee was held at the Capital Hilton in Washington, D.C. on June 1-2, 1994, sponsored by the E.W. Scripps Company.
The winner was 13-year-old Ned G. Andrews from Knoxville, Tennessee, who correctly spelled "antediluvian." Brian Kane Lee, a 12-year-old from Minot, North Dakota took second, falling with "parvenuism". In the year prior, Andrews had placed second and Lee third, and both were participating in the competition for the third straight year.〔(3 June 1994).
